So, there was a meme where you post the first lyric of the first 20 songs to come on my itunes when set on random, so.. here goes. I dont think anyone reads this, but if you do, feel free to try to guess they song. If not, I suppose I can conduct statistical analysis on them.. lets see... sample size n=20...

4) Breaking my back just to know your name, 17 tracks and I've had it with this game...
5) Could you know what I was thinking? So I wouldn't have to speak?
6) When the sun goes down, and the bats are back to bed...
7) Mass romantic fool...
8) He's a very nice prince.. and.. its a very nice ball .. and...
9) Fox in the snow, where do you go to find something you could eat?...
10) Come out, come out, no use in hiding, come now, come now, can you not see?...
11) Looked for love in memphis, looked for love in rome, now that I've finally got you, just want to take you home...
12) Lovesick on a sunny afternoon, you are tired of staying in...
13) I'm a high school lover, and you're my favorite flavor...
14) All the way back home, I'm telling you I caught the sun creeping up behind my shoulder...
15) I lit out from reno, I was trailed by twenty hounds, didn't get to sleep that night til the morning came round...
16) S-o-f-t p-y-r-a-m-i-d-s e-v-a-p-o-r-a-t-e at daylight, Internationally fashioned, like disease...
17) We dont want to sleep tonight, still young like that, I count the lines...
18) Everyone, everyone around here, everone is so near...
19) It's '97, why aren't things wild? You said you was a flower child, I can respect your soul searching, but nows no time for questioning...
20) Reluctantly crouched at the starting line, engines pumping and thumping in time...

4) "Somebody Told Me," The Killers
20) "The Distance," Cake

And I'm going to guess that (7) is "Mass Romantic," title track from the New Pornographers' album of the same title. I haven't heard it, but I have a different song off the album.

If I had to guess... I'd say that #2, the one with the phrase 'natural anthem' in it is, well, Natural Anthem by the Postal Service. Coincidentally, the other one I know is #18, The National Anthem by Radiohead.

So I guess I know my anthems. And sweet sweet procrastination.
