Today is a good day

Today is going to be a very good day. My laundry is in the washer, I found a whole bunch of chapsticks in my pants pockets, I'm still all sweaty from the gym, which is a great feeling, I talked to my mom last night and sent my dad an email which is good because I haven't talked to them in a while, and last but not least, My Girl by the Temptations just came on my playlist.

Tuesday nights are probably my most social night of the week, and serindipitously, Jesse quit his awful job and decided to have an improptu party. So I went over and hung out for about an hour and played poker. I had some stuff to do last night so I didn't drink, (also after God smited me down once for drinking on a school night I try really hard not to, at least not while school is in session), but I did have a sip of someone's beer which they claimed was really good, and it was, if it had only been cold. Overall a fun spur-of-the-moment tuesday evening activity.

Today I'm going to finish my stat problem set, do some reading, work on my page essay for shakespeare this week (its on Othello, I'm thinking of something along the lines of light imagery, light, based on the quote "put out the light, and then put out the light"), and clean my room for prospies tomorrow (which is half done since I started laundry).

Things also making me happy: assassins starts next week, scav hunt is coming up, im volunteering at the skyscraper challenge on saturday to watch Jose Quintans, master of the biosci division, and Allen Sanderson, senior economics lecturer, duke it out to see who can climb to the top of the sears tower first (for charity of course).

Hope you all have a great day! And happy birthday Lauren!
